Terms of Service

• Create an account and use the Service for personal use
• Log games, write reviews, track your game collection
• Follow other users and create lists (if enabled)

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bot, or automate access (except Steam import)
• Share your account credentials
• Impersonate another user
• Post illegal, hateful, or abusive content
• Spam, flood, or attack the Service
• Reverse-engineer or bypass security features
• Resell or commercial use without permission

• Illegal content
• Harassment, hate speech, or threats
• Explicit sexual or violent content (beyond game reviews)
• Spam, phishing, or malware links
• Doxxing or private information about others

Consequences: First offense = warning. Repeat offenders = account suspension or ban.

• Data loss or corruption
• Unauthorized access (despite our security efforts)
• Third-party integrations (Steam, IGDB, etc.)
• Service interruptions or downtime

Our liability is limited to: The lesser of (a) the amount you paid us, or (b) $0 (since the Service is free). Voluntary donations (see Section 5a) are not payment for the Service and do not increase this limit or create any entitlement, warranty, or service-level guarantee.

We're not liable for:

• Lost data after account deletion
• Third-party content or services
• Consequential or indirect damages
• Malfunction of linked Steam, Discord, or Google accounts

• Donations are optional and voluntary — you never have to pay to use the core Service.
• Donations are not a purchase of the Service or of any specific feature, and are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Any supporter perks are provided at our discretion and may change or end at any time. We aim to keep the core feature set free for everyone.

• IGDB / Twitch (game database) — their terms apply to their service
• CheapShark (store pricing) — used to show where to buy; their terms apply
• Steam (for imports) — Valve's terms apply
• Discord/Google (for login) — their privacy policies apply
• Store links ("where to buy") — outbound links to third-party game stores for your convenience. These may become affiliate links in the future; if so, we will disclose it, and any commission will never change how deals are ranked (the genuinely cheapest option is always shown first).

We're not responsible for third-party content, pricing accuracy, or outages.

• Our IP: The playlogd name, logo, UI, and code are owned by Kevin Ray
• Your IP: You retain rights to your logs and reviews
• IGDB data: Licensed from IGDB; display per their terms
• Game titles & images: From IGDB; covered by IGDB licensing
• Third-party trademarks & content: Game titles, box art, logos, and other marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only. playlogd is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Letterboxd, IGDB/Twitch, Valve/Steam, Discord, Google, or any game publisher or platform holder.

You may not:

• Copy or republish the playlogd interface
• Bulk-scrape game data
• Use playlogd's design without permission

If you believe content on playlogd infringes your copyright, send a notice to our DMCA agent at dmca@playlogd.gg. Your notice must include: identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service; your contact information; a statement of good-faith belief; and your signature. We respond promptly to valid notices.

• Suspend or delete your account for violating these terms
• Delete inactive accounts after 1 year (with notice)
• Ban users who abuse the Service

Your data after deletion: You have 30 days to request an export. After 30 days, we permanently delete everything.

• Add or remove features
• Offer optional donation-based or paid features in the future (the core Service is intended to remain free)
• Suspend service for maintenance

We'll notify users of major changes. Continued use = acceptance.

• Try to resolve disputes in good faith
• Not pursue class-action lawsuits
• Submit to binding arbitration if necessary
